WVS Summer Internship
Westrick Vocal Studio is a creative hub dedicated to nurturing creativity, excellence through quality education, inspiring the hearts of the community, while creating a safe haven for artists. We're seeking a passionate and organized individual to join our team as a Summer Intern!
Position Summary:
As a Summer Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting our studio's operations. Your responsibilities will include:
Social Media Management: Create engaging content for our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), schedule posts, and monitor online engagement.
Studio Upkeep: Assist with maintaining a clean and organized studio environment, including light cleaning and organizing supplies.
Event Support: Help with planning and executing studio events, such as workshops, open mics, and more.
Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative tasks to assist our Director of Operations with the daily operation of the studio.
Requirements:
Enrolled Student: Currently enrolled in a college or university program. Note: must have a reliable ride to and from the studio.
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Social Media Savvy: Proficient in using social media platforms, flyer creation platforms ie Canva, and understanding social media trends.
Creative Eye: A keen eye for design and aesthetics.
Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Positive Attitude: Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
Time Commitment & Expectations:
The WVS Summer Internship is a structured program designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience in running a vocal performance studio, production, and administration. To ensure a valuable and productive internship, the following time commitment and expectations are essential:
Weekly Commitment: Interns are required to dedicate 20 hours per week to the program, Monday through Friday.
Punctuality and Professionalism: Consistent punctuality and a professional demeanor are expected at all times.
Active Participation: Interns are expected to actively engage in all assigned tasks and learning opportunities, demonstrating a willingness to learn and contribute.
Adherence to Guidelines: Interns must adhere to all WVS rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Shine Bright Performing Arts Assistance: WVS interns may be called upon to assist with Shine Bright Performing Arts technical needs and show week responsibilities, providing valuable experience in supporting youth theatre productions. This may include assisting with set construction, lighting, sound, backstage management, front of house management and other technical aspects of the performance.
Positive Attitude: A positive, collaborative, and enthusiastic attitude is crucial for a successful internship experience.
